​​Jeff Dangeau is licensed to practice law in Arkansas and has a BBA in economics.  He has over 30 years experience in energy, utility, regulatory, business and real estate law, government relations, and real estate investment and management and as a member of executive management teams.  Jeff has strong legal and business writing skills with clear and concise writing and oral presentation styles.  Jeff's experience and education includes the following.

Southwestern Energy Company & Subsidiaries 1986 - 2000
  • Attorney and Assistant Secretary: managed a 4 member legal department and reported directly to CEO

  • Management Team: Advised executive officers and board of directors on all legal aspects of the company’s business; investor presentations

  • Corporate Transactions and Finance: Member of management team negotiating and drafting documents for and obtaining regulatory approval for mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity issuances, and real estate development.

  • Energy Regulatory: Represented the company in numerous regulatory proceedings before the Public Service Commissions of Arkansas and Missouri, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission, including rule-making, rate increases and natural gas pipeline projects including the NOARK Intrastate Pipeline stretching from Northwest Arkansas to Northeast Arkansas

  • Litigation: Managed and worked with outside counsel on complex oil and gas and utility litigation; Argued cases before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals of Arkansas and Missouri

  • SEC: Drafted proxy statements and notices for annual shareholders meeting; Worked with outside counsel on drafting documents related to mergers and acquisitions and issuances of corporate debt and equity; Filed stock ownership and transactions reports for corporate officers and directors

  • Government Relations: Chairman, Southwestern Energy Political Action Committee; Drafted and lobbied for and against legislation before the Arkansas General Assembly; represented the company before local governments

  • Board of Directors, Arkansas Western Employees’ Credit Union

Arkansas Western Gas Company (then subsidiary of Southwestern Energy Company) 2000 - 2008
  • General Counsel & Secretary; Board of Directors; Reported directly to President

  • Management Team:  Member of customer service focused executive management team which increased the value  of company leading up to its sale to SourceGas in 2008 by providing the best energy value to customers and improving regulatory relationships;  Advised executive officers on all legal aspects of the company’s business

  • Strategic Planning: Facilitated, drafted and updated annually the company’s first strategic plan

  • Energy Regulatory:  Represented the Company before the the Public Service Commissions of Arkansas and Missouri and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, including rule-making, natural gas pipeline projects, rate increases, and energy efficiency

  • Litigation:  Managed and worked closely with outside counsel on public utility regulatory litigation; Argued cases before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals of Arkansas and Missouri

  • Government Relations: Chairman, Southwestern Energy Political Action Committee; Drafted and lobbied for and against legislation before the Arkansas General Assembly; represented the company before local governments
